The main values of Patek Philippe company-the manufacturer of the most expensive serial Swiss wristwatches-are independence, tradition, innovation, and craftsmanship.

An independent family business in Geneva was founded in 1839 by two Polish emigrants, Antony Patek and Francis Czapek, under the name Patek Czapek & Cie. The watchmaking workshop was mainly run by poles, producing about 200 watches per year. In 1845, Chapek left the watchmaking firm and it became known as Patek & Cie. Next, the main event is the meeting of Patek and the French watchmaker Jean Adrian Philippe. In 1851, they became full partners and their watchmaking company became known as Patek Philippe & Co. The company has many patents on its books.

In 1851, at the world's fair in London, Queen Victoria purchased a pocket watch with a flower pattern made of a diamond with a rose cut. Grand Duchess Catherine purchased a blue enamel watch in 1850, decorated with an elegant bouquet of roses. Later, the Infanta of Spain, Luisa Fernanda de Bourbon, added to her collection a sophisticated pocket watch with a retrograde perpetual calendar and the phases of the moon. In 1867, in honor of the 25th anniversary of the wedding anniversary, Queen Louise of Denmark bought a pocket watch without a key from Patek Philippe as a gift to her husband, king Christian of Denmark. In 1868, the company created its first wristwatch, made for Countess Kossovich of Hungary. The owners of exquisite creations from Patek Philippe are: Queen Isabella II of Spain, Queen Maria Pia of Savoy of Portugal, Queen Draga Obrenovic of Serbia.

The Patek Philippe manufactory was the first to release a wristwatch with a perpetual calendar! In 1932, the first model of the Calatrava collection was released. Calatrava is a Catholic military order that has existed in Spain since the 12th century, with the cross as its symbol. The image of this cross is now the hallmark of the house of Patek Philippe.

In the 70s and 80s of the 20th century, new watch collections Ellipse and Nautilus were released, in the 90s, new collections of watches Gondolo and Twenty-4 were presented.in 2001, the company released a double-sided wristwatch Sky Moon Tourbillon with the most complex mechanism to date.

Antony Patek and Adrian Philipp had one goal-to design, produce, assemble - the best watches in the world and today quality and craftsmanship are the company's motto! The high standards applied to every stage of watch development over many months of handmade work make Patek Philippe watches precious and unique creations, the object of the desires of collectors all over the world! In the circle of collectors, the watch has undoubtedly a high reputation!

Today, this watch company is managed by Chairman Philippe Stern, President Thierry Stern and CEO Claude Peny. Philippe Stern opened the Patek Philippe Museum. The Museum is located in the building in the area of Plainpalais in Geneva. It contains a 5-century history of watchmaking, an antique collection of watches Dating back to the 16th century, as well as the collection of the Patek Philippe watch house itself from 1839 to our time.

Patek Philippe is one of the few watch companies in Switzerland that manages all the production cycles itself, from development to final Assembly, including the "home" production of all watch movements and parts, cases, and bracelets.
